Periodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with a wide range of dental treatments procedures like scaling, root planning, root surface debridement etc. The branch also includes the treatment of severe gum problems by applying a range of surgical procedures.

Dr. Shalabh Srivastava (HOD)
The Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology & Microbiology department trains dental students and specialists in related fields, provides diagnostic services, conducts research, and educates the public about preventable oral and dental conditions. They have a well-equipped facility and dedicated staff for academic training, patient service, and research support. Their mission is to provide current knowledge and future prospects in the field.
Diagnosis of oral diseases through histopathological, radiological and clinical evaluation.
Conducting research and providing training to dental students in the field of oral pathology.
Providing services related to oral cancer diagnosis and management.
Collaboration with other departments to provide comprehensive dental care.
Management of oral infections, autoimmune diseases and other systemic disorders affecting the oral cavity.
Provision of preventive care and education to promote oral health and disease prevention.
